FAQ

Common questions

What happens to my coins when an exchange delists them?
Trading stops first and withdrawals stay open for a while after, and that withdrawal window is the part people miss. Move the asset to a wallet or another venue before the deadline. Leave it too long and you are filing a support ticket, and some exchanges will auto-convert the balance at a price you did not pick.
How much warning do exchanges usually give?
One to four weeks for a routine delisting. Regulatory or fraud-driven removals can be same day. That gap is exactly why polling an announcements feed beats waiting on an email you might not read.
Where does the delisting data come from?
Exchange announcement pages and notices, parsed into structured records with the venue, the affected coinray symbols, the status and the delist time. The symbol mapping is the useful part, since it lets you match an announcement against the markets you actually hold or quote.
Does a delisting mean the project is dead?
Often not. Thin volume, a token migration, a regional licence issue or a listing fee dispute will all get a pair pulled from one venue while it trades on fine everywhere else. Read it as a liquidity event on that exchange first and a project signal second.
Can I get alerted instead of checking manually?
Poll the delistings endpoint on a schedule, keep the ids you have already seen, and fire your own notification on anything new. A cron job every few minutes is plenty. There is no push channel for it today.
